Conwy Training is run by Pilar & Chris Near. Both are qualified teachers with a range of First Aid, Outdoor Leadership and other Health and Safety Training Qualifications. They have worked in both Schools and Local Authority Outdoor Education Centres for the past 18 years so have a range of teaching experiences to draw upon when delivering courses. Chris is also a volunteer with the Conwy Coastal First Responder Programme. First Responders are trained by the Welsh Ambulance Service to administer basic first aid skills, oxygen therapy, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of a defibrillator.
Our aim is to deliver simple yet effective courses using a hands-on & practical approach whenever possible. Within all of our courses we aim to set out the legal requirements and then focus on what is important for maximum benefit within the workplace.
DUE Diligence – HSE Changes (October 2013)
HSE no longer approve first aid courses, so to ensure that the training meets your needs you should look at the HSE Due Diligence link ‘Selecting a First Aid Provider‘.
Conwy Training meet all of the requirements set out by this document:
